Knock Out Nokia N9 – Just Announced

The Nokia N9 has just been announced and sports a wide-angle 28 mm with low light capabilities courtesy of the f2.2 aperture Carl Zeiss lens with a dual LED flash and 8 megapixel sensor, it looks so good. It comes with either 16GB or 64GB of onboard memory and 1GB of RAM all wrapped together in a colored polycarbonate shell. It sports quad-band GSM and penta-band WCDMA radios, Bluetooth 2.1, NFS and GPS.

We were expecting this device as Stephen Elop, Chief Executive of Nokia, stated earlier this year that Nokia would unveil its first MeeGo device and it doesn’t disappoint, except that this is running MeeGo and not Mango, so as far as longevity goes that’s not a subject you can really talk about with the N9. What would be good though, would be if Nokia gave their N9 buyers/users the option of a free upgrade to the new Nokia running Windows Phone 7 due later on this year but we can’t guarantee that that’s going to happen.

Check out the video though of this great phone – it has some very strong Apple similarities that’s for sure.
