Top 10 Travel Photography iPhone Apps

We’ve been asked to compile a list of great travel photography iPhone apps for Independenttraveler.com, they’re a subsidiary of TripAdvisor – we’re sure you’ve seen their app.

Well, we thought this would be of great interest to our readers too, so we have complied a Top 10 list below for your perusal. The remit for this Top 10 was to source top rated apps that users find quick and easy to use and of course have the all important sharing options too. Now with nearly over 7,000 iPhone photography apps in the App Store currently, this list is by no means exhaustive but we think, gives a good overall guide to maximize your traveling experience with your magical device.

When you really want to capture an image that’s ultra wide you’re going to love using a panoramic app. There are several good ones on the market, including Pano and 360 Panorama. We really like AutoStitch though, it’s very simple to use and will automatically crop the image to the optimum dimensions. Now updated to include geotagging, plus the usual sharing options are there.

If panoramas are your thing, this is a worthy addition.

Another classic, more of a toy camera effect app and now almost with cult following. Hipstamatic is an institution that you will love to be a part of. It comes with a great range of lenses, filters and flash to choose from but also has great themed in app packs to purchase too. It brings back the look, feel, unpredictable beauty of plastic toy cameras from the past – but in a really good way.
