APPart – Mel Gets Busy/ier…

This time of year is busy for everyone but for our wonderful Columnist Mel Harrison, this past Christmas has been even more busy than most. She’s literally been swept off her feet and has fallen in love, (again). I’m going to let Mel tell you all about it, over to you Mel (foreword by Joanne Carter).

“You may have noticed I have been a little quiet lately…well it’s because of a new man in my life. He’s got the darkest eyes, great hair and is so cute when he wags his tail…yes I got a puppy! His name is Oswald and he is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Consequently everything has revolved around puppy training and training my boys how to interact with the little guy.

I have not done any art work since he came home. I normally work on images at night when my little ones fall asleep but the 5.30am starts have seen me asleep seconds after they drift off!

I have however been playing with the new hipstamatic tintype pak! I am in love, and was pleasantly surprised to see this image of Oswald hit number #83 in Explore on Flickr! I am also using the tintype at the moment for my 365 Project at www.MobiTog.com

I have really enjoyed getting back to photography on my iPhone, but the art is itching to get out! Hopefully things will settle down for everyone here shortly.

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and a very Happy New Year!”
