Lola Mitchell Joins The App Whisperer As A New Columnist With An Interactive Workshop

We’re really delighted to welcome Lola Mitchell as a new Columnist to theappwhisperer.com. We previously interviewed Lola in our A Day In The Life and Extension of the I series of interviews and have always been incredibly impressed with her mobile art and photography. We also featured Lola in our Top Mobile Photography Video of 2012, you can see that here.

Lola Mitchell is a US based iPhone Photographer. Her work has been featured in many iPhone photography blogs, as well as the LA Mobile Arts Festival 2012. Photography was always part of her life but the iPhone has awaken an imaginary world she did not even know was there, and reignited her passion for photography.

Lola’s bi-weekly Column will be called ‘The App Nerds Workshop‘ and will be published every other Monday. The App Nerds Workshop is something very different and we are very excited about it. It will become a virtual classroom, an environment for new talent to share their work, for Lola to share some of the ways she uses apps and for the not so new talent to share some secrets. Lola will sometimes assign broad themes to keep the creative juices flowing. We are hoping this will be a grand scale creative interactive classroom. This should be where sharing and creativity abound. We are hoping your mind will be tickled into creating, experimenting, daring, dreaming, making, doing.

We have set up a Flickr group where you can submit your images, we will import a slideshow that will show all submissions.

Every two weeks Lola will focus on one or two images. So you have until January 21, 2013 to submit for a chance to be featured. You do not have to make photo montages to submit, all are welcome. Lola’s first column article will be published on Monday January 7, 2013.

If you want to show your work, show what results you got from trying something discussed within The App Nerds column, or just make the jump and start sharing for the first time, please post to our Flickr group. The only rule is that your work needs to be taken and edited on a mobile phone or iPod touch/ iPad.

We recently welcomed Richard Gray, Misho Baranovic, Dan Marcolina, Keith Tharp, David Hayes, Teri Lou Dantzler, Richard Koci Hernandez, Rudy Vogel, Kevin Kuster, Laura Peischl, Dilshad Corleone, Mel Harrison, Star Rush, Catherine Restivo, JQ Gaines, Cindy Patrick, Roger Guetta, Janine Graf, Sarah Jarrett, Jennifer Bracewell, Benamon Tame and Shirley Drevich as Columnists to theappwhisperer and we will have a few more announcements to make very soon.

We are growing at a phenomenal rate and trying to include as much unique content and variety from the mobile photography world as our readers can possibly digest, you really don’t need to go anywhere else!

Please join us in welcoming Lola to theappwhisperer family, welcome Lola…
