Halftone 2 – Updated

Halftone 2 can now create 3D comics! Put on your 3D anaglyph glasses, and watch your balloons, captions, and stamps pop right out of the page.

Halftone 2 for iPad was released less than two weeks ago as an Apple Editors’ Choice, and since then, it’s had nearly 250,000 downloads.

The developers heard from users that they wanted more graphical elements in the free version, and they’re proud to announce that the update that is now available in the store (version 1.0.1) adds more captions, stamps, paper textures, and layouts.

They have also added a new 3D anaglyph feature and the ability to easily share output with the Instagram app (including a square layout for Instagram fans).

We recently published a wonderful tutorial using Halftone, if you missed that, please go here. It was also featured over at dpreview.connect, see here.

Halftone 2 is free and you can download it here (there are in-app purchases though).

Not impressed with this app in the slightest. The update made very little improvement. Yet another app ruined by in app purchases. Instead of enhancing an app they are used to enable the app. Without the in app purchases the app is so crippled it is not much fun or use.

Buy the old version instead, it is much better!!!
