Here’s day one hundred and fifteen of our new Pic of the Day section via Instagram. Many of you have already seen our new segment to our APPart column here at TheAppWhisperer, edited by Bobbi McMurry. We would like to inspire all mobile artists to create one image a day using the selected colour of Pantone’s ‘Color of the Day’ – see here (we will announce the colour each day). As well a ‘Color of the Day’, Pantone also link that colour with adjectives and/or nouns. 2016 Edition of the World’s Largest Photography Competition Opens for Entries
The 2016 Sony World Photography Awards, the world’s largest photography competition organised by the World Photography Organisation, are open for entries. Free to enter at www.worldphoto.org, photographers of all abilities are invited to submit work to any of the awards’ five competitions: Professional; Open; Youth; National Awards and Student Focus. Now in its ninth year, the awards are an authoritative voice in the photographic world. Mobile Movies Showcase – Week 53 – by Vanessa Vox and Giulia Baita
Welcome the fifty-third showcase in our Mobile Movies Column, now curated and edited by Vanessa Vox and Giulia Baita. Every two weeks Vox and Baita will curate the movie uploads to our Flickr group MobileMoviesTheAppWhisperer. They will view all the videos uploaded and comment on the ones selected. Within this selection today, both Vox and Giulia have curated the movies and Giulia has written the commentary this week, this will alternate (foreword by Joanne Carter). Two New Editors for our Mobile Movies Column – Vanessa Vox and Giulia Baita
We are delighted to announce two new editors for our Mobile Movies Column, Vanessa Vox and Giulia Baita. Both are hugely supportive of this new and developing medium and are planning to invigorate this group. Baita obtained a degree in History and Contemporary Art and studies and supports examinations in History of Cinema at the University of Cagilari. She is a Professor of Italian and History and continues to cultivate her passion for art. Vox, studied Art History and Archaeology in Aix-en-Provence. In 2003, whilst in Switzerland, she began to explore the possibilities of digital art and video editing in collaboration with her husband. You can read more about these…
