Mobile Photography – Instagram TAKEOVER with @gilliannb – Gillian Brodie – Days 1 & 2

We are so excited with our latest Instagram TAKEOVER this time with @gilliannb – Gillian Brodie. She is a highly respected and talented artist and has been granted full access to our Instagram account and she is doing a magnificent job. We are very proud of her! Please take a look at her Instagram feed to see what an incredible artist she is.

On day 1 @gilliannb highlighted this image by @nineacresdesignsart – Tracey Grumbach and she writes Hi, this is @gilliannb here for @theappwhisperer. I am absolutely delighted to have been asked by Joanne to curate the page for the next 14 days ! One of the very first images that caught my eye when I logged into the account was this stunning picture by @nineacresdesignsart I love all the graphic elements in this image and how they have been compiled with such a sense of fun ! I love also that this pic started its life in the physical world, as a collage that was then brought into the digital world to have further touches added. A fantastic melding of analogue & digital”.

On day 2 @gilliannb highlighted this image by @joycoyle_nz – Joy and she writes @gilliannb here for @theappwhisperer Today I wanted to feature the truly beautiful work of @joycoyle_nz Her gorgeous NZ landscapes are really something else, and this one especially attracts me as it’s a scene I know very well ! I spent my teenage years in NZ and visited this spot more than once. This tree in Lake Wanaka is absolutely iconic & has been photographed many many times, but seeing it through Joy’s eyes is a revelation. Her unique vision & beautiful editing have transformed it into something fresh & new. I totally recommend a visit to her beautiful feed “.

Later on day 2 @gilliannb highlighted this image by @barbaranebel – Barbara Nebel and she writes @gilliannb here for @theappwhisperer Just a quick post this morning as I race off to work. I really love this bold & bright portrait by @barbaranebel I love the way the subject stares you unflinchingly in the eye and the use of strong colours and textures adds to the overall punchy effect !”
