In this epic tutorial you’ll learn how to use the Aspect Ratio settings in FiLMiC Pro v6 to work with cinematic aspect ratios such as 2.59:1 (Cinerama), 4:3 and 1:1 for Instagram and other square video formats.

Not only that but you’ll learn how to use FiLMiC Pro’s aspect ratios as a framing guide only allowing you to compose shots that work equally well in both widescreen (Youtube, Vimeo etc) and 1:1 (Instagram).

Mobile Movies – New Challenge – ‘People on the Street’

Welcome to our latest Mobile Movies Challenge. The theme of this challenge is ‘People on the Street’. It is very interesting to watch people on the street, to see how they move, what they do. Street photography offers us slices of life that are so interesting, curious, poignant or funny. We would like you to film short videos between people. We would like to see the scenes of different people, different nationalities and different cultures that are filmed for our Challenge. Everyone can choose the place he likes and the time that seems most interesting in their location, in his daily life. Movies can be edited and interpreted in any way.

Mobile Movies – ‘Yes, Travel!’ – New Challenge

Welcome to our latest Mobile Movies Challenge. The theme of this challenge is Travel. Movement fascinates us. Creating movies with our iPhone is simple: it is always with us and with few resources we can make a good movie. This Challenge invites you to observe the vehicles around us and produce short movies with cars, metro, bus, bicycle, train, boat or any means of transport. We can observe different situations and different scenes with travelers on a train or a car or a bus. This Challenge offers a starting point for study and research. Any means of expression is welcome: Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Reverse, Replay. The video can be surreal and fantastic or real or even a documentary. Space for freedom of expression.
