500px Deleted From Apple App Store – PhotoStackr for 500px Remains
Popphoto.com, the magazine version of which we have contributed to in the past published a very interesting article yesterday. They reported that Apple had pulled the uber pro app 500px from the app store because of nude images. 500px is actually a very attractive photo sharing app and while yes it may/does/did contain some nude shots as PopPhoto points out there was ‘nothing pornographic’ there- depending on your definition of porn but it wasn’t a lot different to what you might find on the popular Flickr iPhone app. PopPhoto also point out clearly perhaps the strongest argument against this removal by Apple being, “that the app comes with “safe” viewing…

Jazz! – Updated
Jazz! is a popular app with many mobile photographers and its just received a free update to the Light Leak filter which now has three more Old School types and Hue slider to be more backwards compatible with previous versions. Pixlr Express PLUS – Temporarily Free
Pixlr Express Plus from Autodesk and the developers of Pixlromatic, SketchBook is a good photo editing app for iOS albeit a controversial one. Many users report that rather than purchase the full priced version, you should download the free version as you still have to purchase the in-apps. This is quite true but the paid for version is currently going free, usually it retails for $2.99/£1.99, so this is an ‘opportunity’ to pick that up and you can compare it yourselves. New Advanced iPhone Photography Course Launches In London
The App Whisperer columnist Richard Gray @rugfoot has launched an advanced course in mobile photography, The Advanced iPhoneography Group (AiG). This follows his launch of a ground-breaking introductory course in February 2012. Gray said: “Mobile photography has matured and many people are now looking for more sophisticated techniques and also new creative inspiration.
