The World’s ‘Best’ Mobile Photography Travel Photo – Winner Announced
The winner of the ‘best’ travel photo taken on a smartphone has been awarded to Zoe King, for her photo taken in Colombo (Sri Lanka), at the Gangaramaya Viharaya Temple. The search was launched after Celebrity Cruises found that 67% of people now use their smartphone to take holiday photographs. Paris Mobile Photography Award Is Open!
Many thanks to Cedric Blanchon for bringing this fabulous Award to our attention. Organized by Tribegram, the second edition of The Mobile Photography Fair in Paris is held from Nov. 29th until Dec. 1st 2013. To celebrate this event, an international challenge is organized from Nov.7th until Nov. 21st to award the best Mobile Photographer in five categories : B&W, Portrait, Landscape, Abstraction, and Street Photography. Following a survey commissioned by Celebrity Cruises* that a staggering 67% of people now take pictures on their mobile on holiday, the leading luxury cruise company has launched a search – alongside worldwide known and award-winning photographers – for the best travel photo ever taken on a smartphone. Surprisingly, Samsung is the leader in the mobile camera market with a 24% share of the overall market – 4% of those questioned were more likely to use the brand over an iPhone.
