Merry Christmas! This Grand Flickr Group Showcase of 2017 represents our top favourited images from our Flickr Group – Mobile Photography & Imagery. Each week we have produced a showcase and we have selected images from all of those showcases to bring you this epic finale of the year of 2017!  I want you all to enjoy this showcase, each one of you, some I know more than others, but all I recognise and am in awe of your talents.

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, enjoy this mobile photography and art showcase with untapped emotion and tenderness. We have the chemistry just right, with meaningful dialogue throughout, this is a journey almost as extraordinary as 2017. Let it blow you away, breathe, relax, enjoy!

You know that feeling when you just can’t wait to leap out of bed? Well, that happened to me this morning and its not happened for a while. I share a very beauiful bed with a very attractive and intelligent person who manages to stimulate me in every possible way but not even the lure of that deliciousness combined with comforting luscious silk sheets could seduce me this morning. I’m bursting with excitement and renewed direction for TheAppWhisperer, all will be revealed soon.  Mobile Photography and Art is a huge part of my life, when I sleep, I dream multiple times, it’s almost a spiritual experience to me. I see you work, I hear your expressions and I feel your fierce trust. Mobile Photography and Art actually demands fierce trust and that trust lays down the fundamentals, ensuring you create and put forth your work, without knowing or planning an outcome, that must come secondary. Take a look at this weeks showcase, each one of these artists have fierce trust in their work and it shines though, this is truly a magnificent and extraordinary performance. Enjoy!

If you would like your work to be considered for entry into our weekly Mobile Photography and Art Flickr Group, please submit it to our dedicated group, here.

This is a rollicking good Mobile Photography and Art Video Showcase. Brilliant images encompass this wild ride, with the minimum of pretension. This is a blend of candor with naturalism, it is audacious, sweeping and a rich layer cake of a showcase. “The only people who can still strike us as normal are those we don’t yet know very well. “Mercy is radical kindness. Mercy means offering or being offered aid in desperate straits. Mercy is not deserved. It involves forgiving the debt, absolving the unabsolvable. Mercy brings us to the miracle of apology, given and accepted, to unashamed humility when we have erred or forgotten”. This is a quotation from a new book I have been reading this week by Anne Lamott. I have several of her books and enjoy reading them over and over, this one entitled ‘Hallelujah Anyway’, is just perfect for Easter Day and for our Mobile Photography & Art showcase. You see, mobile imagery is created by some of the most wonderful artists, living today, in our world. So many of these artists cast doubts to their talents and they should not. Whenever I am lucky enough to talk with these artists in person, I feel it. The most important thing and I say it time after time, is to believe in yourself, in your abilities and to be kind to yourself. Life, this life, is not a competition. It’s not about winning the next one, or being in the next exhibition, it’s nice when it happens, if you want it to but don’t centre on that. Have mercy on yourself and on others and let your talents shine through.  I will see it, whether I’m representing a competition or not, I will see your work, keep going, do not stop but rest and take a break when you need to. Keep paying attention and feed your souls.

Happy Easter!

Wow! What a week for mobile photography and art imagery! You’ve all kept me very busy this morning/afternoon, selecting your images and placing them, carefully into this showcase. So much so, that my mind has almost gone blank with what to say. Usually, on a Sunday, after I have worked on our showcase, I assimilate some words and thoughts, things I have been thinking over during the week, perhaps. Of course, this week took in Valentines Day, which to many of us means love. So, of course, that got me thinking, of the Valentines week that I spent with my love and also, I thought of, perhaps in view of many of the images and messages I received, from others, that perhaps some have not had a love to share it with this year. That’s happened to me of course, we have all felt that at various times in our lives, perhaps when a person we shared a love history with has not come true or just when we have enjoyed our own company. Some say, you don’t find love, love finds you. I have to confess that many of my loves, have found me, in fact most of the time I wasn’t even aware that love was before me, but others noticed and pointed it out. What I do know is that however we do find love, or it finds us, enduring love, is something we have to make, to work on. Humans are imperfect and sustaining love, sometimes in difficult circumstances is challenging, but very worthwhile.

Well, it seems I did find something to say afterall. Thank you everyone for sharing your truly stunning images with us this week. This is definitely a very beautiful showcase.
