Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 3 December 2017

In the UK we have a literary award of which, it is of no honour to win. It is the Bad Sex Award and each year since 1993 an author is honoured who has, in the opinion of the judges, produced an outstandingly bad scene of sexual description, in an otherwise good novel. The results of which, I always find interesting to read, notwithstanding the reviews too. Is it wrong to find it laudable?  This year one author and writer for The Guardian, Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett claims the thought of being awarded the bad sex award has inspired her to work harder, she writes, Many women are acutely aware of what bad sex feels like because, I’m depressed to say, lots of us have experienced it first hand, and reading scenes where a female character is in raptures the minute the tip of a penis makes contact will always lead to raised eyebrows.”. The irony of this award is that it is actually getting harder to award it, many have said that the awards handed over this year for bad sex are actually not ‘too bad’. The best thing about this is that it is actually possible that male authors are paying more attention to the female experience and what a great thing that is, for all of us. This week Mobile Photography and Art Flickr Group showcase is the opposite of a Bad Sex Award, there’s no self-doubt evident here, the result of this multimedia display is a groundbreaking thrust in the face of engaging the real world in new and surprising ways. Enjoy!

The transformative power of art mingled with love heighten the potential of our quotidian lives, when we consider Mobile Photography and Art, our untapped potential is as defiant as it is understated. We have produced an exquisitely crafted Showcase this week, beautifully restrained pictorial about love, loneliness and loss is caressed sensitively as we empathetically chronicle not only the characters who grieve for people not only absent from their lives but also for the desires they have by default relinquished, whether sexual or emotional. New love affairs represent another version of our future, trilogies of desire, reconciled as we expedite our lives. Stay in the present, they tell us, be present. I say, throw your imagination forward, live in the future, the perpetual orbit of life is ours, live it and love what you do, the rest will follow.

DxO Camera Updated with Pro Quality Solution for Facebook Live

Share

DxO, pioneer in digital imaging technologies, announces a major free update to its award-winning DxO ONE pro-quality miniaturized and connected camera for iPhone that will take Facebook Live broadcasting to new heights. The DxO ONE camera iOS app version 2.5 will introduce the world’s first pro-level multi-camera solution for Facebook Live, enabling users to take full advantage of the DxO ONE’s remarkably compact design, outstanding image quality, and integrated internet connectivity while broadcasting to their followers. Available to all DxO ONE users free of charge, the update is expected to be available in early 2017 via the iTunes App Store.

With the update, the DxO ONE app will embrace Facebook Live, providing the ability to quickly and easily create a live stream with only a few taps of the app. When combined with full Wi-Fi remote control, the DxO ONE will operate as a remote broadcast camera, giving users the ability to experiment with camera compositions and placements that are impossible to achieve with the iPhone’s built-in cameras alone. The DxO ONE’s large image sensor and fast lens combine to provide a shallow depth-of-field and natural looking bokeh that lets users live stream with a level of quality that is breathtakingly cinematic.

The DxO ONE Facebook Live solution provides a sophisticated set of controls, including an elegant multi-camera source panel, that lets you preview all three camera views at once—DxO ONE, iPhone front and back—so you can recompose the shot, adjust the lighting, or prepare your subject before going live with any camera view. You become the technical director, as you seamlessly cut between each of the three cameras on-the-fly with a quick tap. Your audio feed can be sourced from the DxO ONE’s internal microphone, the iPhone’s microphone, or set to automatically switch between the two as you cut between cameras. And of course, the DxO ONE app will allow you to name your Live stream and let you connect with the people who care most, whether it’s a select group of personal friends, or your fans worldwide.

“Because it’s so incredibly compact, the DxO ONE has been my go-to camera for pro-quality video whenever and wherever I need it most,” said Nathan Yamniak, Film Director. “Now with the addition of a multi-camera broadcast control panel, and deep support for Facebook Live, it has become for me and my clients the ultimate pro-quality live broadcasting solution.”

We have just completed this epic showcase of The Best Mobile Photography and Art images of 2014. All of these images were in our favourites section of our Mobile Photography & Imagery Flickr Group. We have painstakingly worked our way through over 8,000 favourited images, from an original of over 115,000. No mean feat but by viewing this showcase you are assured of viewing the immense talent within the mobile photography and mobile art community. It is incredibly impressive.

Please do note that we have not been able to include everyones favourited images, there’s just too many, we have had to be very selective to condense it. Please be assured that if any of your images are in the Mobile Photography & Imagery favourited section, they’re there for one reason and one reason only, because they’re extremely good.

We really hope you enjoy this showcase, it has been great to compile and see how each artists’ images and ideas have changed through the months of 2014. These images represent every month of 2014, it really is an incredible showcase.
