Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase 12 February 2017

Experiences in art and life, fuelled with intense sensuality, releases explosive beauty which returns us to the pleasure of physical encounters, astonishingly connecting. Rooted in the moment, shaping our own emotional and artistic lives. Mon amour pour toi est éternel. The rhythm of art and life is one that we all share. Experiment within it, find colour and line, stay conscious and feel connected, expressive and free, albeit a symphony of love itself.  Le cœur a ses raisons que la raison ne connaît point. This weeks mobile photography and flickr group showcase is tantamount to that, Enjoy!

Wow, what an incredible collection of images we have received to our Reflect Mirror Camera App Competition – just stunning! We asked our wonderful artists to create an image using this app, developed by Brain Fever Media and did they deliver!

Our competition has been running over on Instagram, within our hashtag #theappwhisperer_reflect. Please take a look at all of the entries.

Our two runners up, who will also receive a copy of Kat Sloma’s ‘Art with an iPhone’ book are: @imaco57 – Isabel Afonso and @mauzzan – Mauirzio Zanetti

We have created a video of a shortlist of our favourite images from this competition, please take a look below. Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 17 January 2016

Described in the press as ‘the saddest week in showbiz’ following the tragic deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman and more… this showcase has a melancholy feel. Sadness has its place, despair is universal. However, this is a showcase not for the conflicted chronicler, it is one for us all to love and appreciate all of the formidable obstacles that lay ahead of us, to find solace and to share compassion and insight.

If you would like your work to be considered for entry into our weekly Mobile Photography and Art flickr group, please submit it to our dedicated group, here. If you would like to view our previous Flickr Group Showcases (please go here).

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do.  Many congratulations to the following artists for being featured this week:

Joanne Carter Lecture on Mobile Imagery at DigiFun Art Festival 2015 – Seoul Museum of Art – Part 5

I hope you’re all following the posts relating to my lecture at the Seoul Museum of Art, South Korea on 23 September 2015.  If you have missed any, please go here. It was a huge honour for me to be invited by DigiFun Art to participate in the DigiFun Art: Urban Scape Mobile Photography & Art Exhibition and Festival at this most prestigious museum.

I divided my two hour+ lecture into sections and I will now run through my fifth group of slides/my notes that I made in Part 5. In this section, as I knew that image collusions are very popular in the Far East, I wanted to explain our wonderful section Artistic Anarchy: Mobile Collusions Column, edited by Jaime Glasser. I created a video of images selected by Glasser to show the audience and have published that below.  Congratulations to the following artists for being featured:  Kerryn Benbow, Karina Wollina, Mark Schnidman, Sonja Kautzman, Carolyn Hall Young, Edith Meier, Julio Pelaez, Becka Schiller, Laboridomi Latorre, Fiona Christian, Anthony Ozorai, Manuela Ballasadero, Sukru Mehmet Omur, Elaine Taylor, Christina Rankin, Cecily Batey Caceu, Andrew Lucchesi, Kim Martino Diaz, Garry Ryon, Marguerite Koury, Michelle Mott, Dieter Gabel, Chad Rankin, Gretchen Bickert, Aldo  Pacheco, Claude Labarussiat, Jo Sullivan, Riva Ax Riise, Jane Fiala, Vivi Hanson Sacerdote, Lisa Peters, Benamon Tame, Tina Rice, Barbara Nebel, Violet Martins, Kate Zari Roberts, Pam Blackstone, David Hayes, Diana Nicholette Jeon, Allyson Marie, Isabella Matthews, Armineh Hovanesian.

Please note, that these are my notes to prompt not only myselfW but also my really  wonderful English/Korean translator Carol Seungjoo Park – I expanded upon these points within my lecture.
