African Americans Text And Talk More With Their Mobiles Than Anyone Else

According to The Nielson Company after completing a 12 month study, black people use more voice minutes and send more text messages than any other race.

According to this chart African Americans send nearly 800 texts per month, compared with the lowest scoring, Asians, they ‘only’ send upto 400 texts per month – 50% less.

With this chart African Americans spend over 1300 minutes per month talking on their cell phones compared with Whites at just over 600 minutes.

It was also discovered with the help of The Nielson Study that women spend 22% more time talking on their cells than men and send an average of 600 texts per month compared to 450 for men. Now we knew this, right?

What would be really interesting to learn would be to find out why African Americans use their mobiles so much more than other races – anyone got any theories?
