Well, we weren’t sure when we were going to find out the truth behind all the rumors concerning the iPhone 4’s reception issues but now it appears the truth is out.
AppleCare Representatives have confirmed that there is an antenna interference issue when the phone is held near the lower left-hand corner. The software update would only make iPhone 4’s signal meter more accurate but not fix the actual problem.
We are all aware that Apple is telling customers to not hold the manner in a fashion that causes the hand to touch the lower left hand corner, or if that can’t be helped, purchase a $30 bumper. It seems that perhaps the only true fix now we can hope for is the iPhone 5.
