Offline maps

The most significant innovation is the facility allowing the user to install and uninstall individual countries. This means you can use ForeverMap much more flexibly and always find the right balance between the size of the installation and the map material of interest to you. You just need to download the country maps that you want to use in ForeverMap once after the update by connecting your device to a WiFi network. It is possible to install and uninstall the countries as often as you like, without limitations. The installed maps can then be used offline without restriction as in the earlier version.

Zooming and Map Display

The reloading and zooming of maps in this update is now 70% faster than the previous version. Street names are far more frequently shown too, this feature comes into its own if you are using it on foot.

Routes

The route calculation is more than 50% faster, Skobbler have also simplified the route entry. They are also making further significant improvements in this area and these will be released in a future update.

IdeaLog

There is a new section in Version 2 of ForeverMap, it is called the IdeaLog function. It allows the user to feedback directly to Skobbler to help them keep one step ahead of the competition as far as future development and ideas are concerned.

iOS Compatibility

This is a universal app, meaning that once downloaded it will work on either the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad without any adjustment or additional expense.

This is a very good app and you can try it for free just by responding and retweeting this post.
