A Day In The Life Of Pirmin Föllmi – A Talented Mobile Photographer Based In Switzerland

Welcome to our very exciting new column on theappwhisperer.com. This section entitled ‘A day in the life of …’ and this is where we’ll be taking a look at some hugely influential, interesting and accomplished individuals in the mobile photography world. People that we think you will love to learn more about.

This is our fifty second installment of the series, you can read the others here if you have missed them so far. Pirmin is 36 years old and lives in Switzerland, right next to the capital Zürich. He is an architectural draftsman and plasterer by profession. His family is the centre of his life. One of the most beautiful things that makes Pirmin happy is watching his two daughters grow up.

Most of his photos were taken during walks or hikes with his family. There are a many mountains and lakes nearby where he lives and why it’s easier for him to take landscape pictures rather than street art shots. Pirmin enjoys the silence and beauty of nature a lot. The colors of the fields, mountains or lakes are very important to him. He very seldom shoots in black and white – colors are simply more important to him to express a certain atmosphere.

Pirmin has had his iPhone for about two years now, he never actually took photos before. He came across mobile photography through his Twitter feed and was immediately hooked. To Pirmin it’s amazing to see how much you can do with a picture with various apps.

Read more about Pirmin in our exclusive interview below…

Each image is titled with the apps used to create it in sequential order. You can find all the links the the apps mentioned at the end of this article.
