Competition – National Geographic Traveller Photo Contest 2014

National Geographic are once again on the the lookout for your vision of the world through a lens. Last year they received thousands of UK entries and were truly impressed at the incredibly high standard of submissions. This year they’re back with more great prizes, new judges and fresh categories. Tour the site, see the existing entries, and then get snapping!

You can enter photographs under one of six categories: Action, City, Iconic, Modern, Natural and People. For a bit more information on what the judges are looking for, take a look at the Categories section of the website. All submissions must be the entrant’s own work, and they must own the copyright to any photographs entered. Photographs must have been taken within two years of the date of entry and may not have won an award in any National Geographic photography contest in the last three years. Only minor burning, dodging and/or colour correction is acceptable, as is cropping.

The competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland only. Entrants must be aged 18 or over at the time of entry. Employees and agents of Absolute Publishing Ltd (APL), Quark Expeditions or any company connected with the production or distribution of the promotion, or any of their associated companies are not eligible to take part in the competition, nor are their relatives or members of their families or households.

Closing date is the 9 December 2013 at 5:00pm GMT.
