Just to explain the title for this section ‘Tickle Your Fancy’ is an English idiom and essentially means that something appeals to you and perhaps stimulates your imagination in an enthusiastic way, we felt it would make a great title for this new section of the site.

Traditional 1940’s PinUp Photos With Models And High Speed Milk Attire
London based photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz, has created a 12 month calendar inspired by retro calendars from the 1940′s pinup girl. In this case though, the girls aren’t wearing clothes, they are wearing milk, very fast milk. This is very well done and incredibly creative.

Intimate Photographs Of Girls And Their Rooms
American-Lebanese photographer Rania Matar entered the sanctuaries of girls around the world to produce a series of photographs titled ‘A Girl and Her Room’. ‘”The girls in these photographs willingly opened their doors to an outsider, trusted her, shared their intimacy with her and exposed themselves and their vulnerability. Rania attempted to get to the soul of each girl, to represent each one as truthfully as she could, and, by capturing each individual, to justify their trust in her.” – Susan Minot

Interview with Elaine Mayes, Photographer and Educator
PetaPixel interviews Elaine Mayes, a photographic artist for more than fifty years. She also taught photography at The University of Minnesota, Hampshire College (founding faculty), Pratt Institute, Bard College, ICP and retired as Professor Emerita from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts where she was Chair of the Photography and Imaging Department from 1996 until 2001.
Her work has been exhibited and collected widely, and recent exhibitions include The Smithsonian American Art Museum, Steven Kasher Gallery and The National Academy of Arts and Letters in New York.
