First 4K iOS Video Capture App – Vizzywig 4K – $999.99

Well, we have looked at expensive apps before so Vizzywig’s $999.99 new app did not knock us down. However, despite last week Apple not announcing 4K capabilities in the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, Vizzywig 4K has passed by the Apple police at the app store and it you to produce and distribute 4K videos from your iPhone 5S. Except, it will only work with iOS 7 and if you want to continue using it, you must not upgrade to iOS 8. Some say that the Burst Mode in iOS 8 appears to have broken the ability for this app to operate on iOS 8. Vizzywig 4K has the capability of capturing 4K photos at 24 images per second, compared with the Burst Mode in iOS 8 of 10 images captured per second. Officially, Vizzywig is not actually capturing video but stitching multiple images into one. Once the images have been captured within Vizzywig they can then be composed into one single 4K video and uploaded into 4K video streaming services.

If you’re really ambitious you can connect up to 15 iPhone 5s devices and record simultaneously and edit the switching in real time. Hmmm interesting…
