Questions From Readers – Why We Select Pic of The Day Images?
In any one day, I am asked a huge array of questions from readers all around the world, in various formats. A recent question from a reader, was ‘why do you select images of the day?’. The answer is, we want to highlight the very best mobile photography and art images, and to broaden that artists’ reach.
We are the world’s most popular dedicated mobile photography and art website and have a vast social media channels. These include, Facebook and Twitter but also Pinterest, Flipboard, Instagram and Apple News.
When we select an image it gets sent around all of those channels and we usually obtain at the very least 100,000 views on Pinterest alone and more on other channels, as can be seen in the screen grab below. Of course, our website views are far in excess of these. I hope that clarifies the point. Keep uploading your images to Instagram with the hashtag #theappwhisperer and we will continue to select!
