Mobile Symphonies Exhibition – Call for Entries – Reminder!

TheAppWhisperer.com, together with Jane Schultz and Peter Wilkin from Edit From The Soul and @ig_artistry, are thrilled to launch a joint Call to Exhibit – we can’t wait to see your entries – hurry don’t miss the deadline!

The Theme: Mobile Symphonies

There is no doubt that Music can inspire the art that we create. It can touch us deeply, stir our emotions and tap into parts of us that words alone cannot reach. In a matter of seconds it can draw us in and completely change our mood with its rhythms, colours, shapes, textures, and tones.

For many mobile artists their artistic practice hovers on the borderline of painting, photography and music. This paradox relates to the sublime, the experienced greatness of something. Verbal expression of such moments is often impossible and, in order to grasp their essence, we turn to our art.

Our new Mobile Symphonies Exhibition will explore the influence music has upon your digital art. We hope to feature digital paintings and photographs that have been moulded into complex experiences relevant to our theme, drawing a direct connection in the minds of the viewers.

Our Exhibition will feature juried selected images, focusing on the connection between music & visual art. Music that is instantly recognisable within the image will be selected, representing a pure and honest connection. It is the collaboration of music and digital art that is explicit in this exhibition, raising awareness and eliciting empathy for matters at stake, one that our visually literate audience will surely adore and aspire to.

Each image will be juried by our members including Gina Costa, Clint Cline, Lorenka Campos as well as the organisers, Jane Schultz, Joanne Carter and Peter Wilkin

The Call

We invite you to create a maximum of 3 images in homage to or in the spirit of an iconic song, piece of music or album. All images must be captured and edited with mobile devices only, and must be your own work (i.e., they may not incorporate stock or other art created by someone else). The selected images will be chosen by an esteemed jury and exhibited on TheAppWhisperer’s prestigious online gallery. All proceeds of the call will go to Save Our Venues, a Music Venue Trust that represents independent UK music venues who are being devastated financially as a result of the current lockdown.

We can’t wait to see what kind of music inspires your art.
