Top Five Photo Apps – Photo App Lounge – With Federica Corbelli
Welcome to our Photo App Lounge section of theappwhisperer.com. This is an area on our site where we ask highly accomplished mobile photographers what their top five photo apps are and why.
We recently published the Top Five Photo Apps as recommended by Yannick Brice , Cedric Blanchon, Irene Sneddon, our Columnist and Award Winning Mobile Artist Sarah Jarrett as well as Louise Fryer, Lisa Waddell, Davide Capponi, Ali Jardine, Clint Cline, Elaina Wilcox, France Freeman, Tess Gomm and Lola Mitchell’s Top Five Photo Apps including accompanying images demonstrating these selections, if you missed those, please go here.
Today, we are featuring Federica Corbelli, we have previously interviewed Frederica within our A Day in the Life Interview section, here, and have also featured her images many times in our Flickr Group Showcases, see here.
Federica Corbelli aka Lubaluft was born in Genoa (Italy) and lives in Milan where she has been working for more than 11 years in Information Technology company.
In her photos she tries to convey the feelings of the passing of time as it inevitably changes objects and places. She is inspired by urban decay and by the emotions evoked by abandoned architectures as if they were voices calling to her, asking that their stories be told. She wades in this sea of noises from the past with her iPhone to capture and then stage the voices of the past.
We’re sure you’re going to enjoy this article a lot…
Number One – Olloclip
‘Christabel’ – ©Federica Corbelli
This app is for the Olloclip lens that I use very often for my shots. It allows to calibrate and enhance my favourite fisheye effect and to adjust focus and exposure independently or together. It’s very fast and now it has became my best app for shooting.
Number Two – Snapseed
‘Oxidised’ – ©Federica Corbelli
This is my essential app: Crop, Straighten, Details, Tune image and Center focus are the best features of this app. That is the first app I open after the shoot.
Number Three – Procreate
‘Listen.Listen.Listen’ – ©Federica Corbelli
I don’t paint on my photos but this is an application that I use very often to retouch, add shadows and colours to some of my pictures with objects affixed. It has a lots of potential and it has become an intermediate step of all my edit.
Number Four – Mextures
‘Turned back upon the past’ – ©Federica Corbelli
One of my favourite photo editing app for vintage touch ever with endless editing possibilities and customization issues for perfect uniquely editing.
Number Five – Rays
‘Trapped’ – ©Federica Corbelli
Rays is one of my first app used since my first steps as iPhoneographer. It is the best way to create realistic light rays effect. The light of Rays passing through the objects adding a new dimensional and dramatic effect to the photo and the final effect is always stunning.
