Procreate 2 Now Available – Huge Update

Savage Interactive has released the latest update to Procreate with an iOS 7 optimized feature set. If you’re the proud owner of an iPad Air or iPad mini, Procreate 2 will take advantage of the all new A7 processor allowing you to work with a 4K file at 64-bit.

There’s a whole host of improvement and enhancements, there are now 128 dynamic layers plus a new advanced layering system that allows artists to lock layer transparency, to incorporate gestures to merge layers and create new layers as well as 18 new Layer Blend modes.

The new GPU accelerated filters and adjustments should work wickedly fast on the new iPad, these include Gaussian Blur, Sharpen, Noise, Hue, saturation & brightness, Color balance (highlights, Midtones, Shadows) and Curves.

There’s also the option to create your own fully customizable brush to add to the existing 120 already available.

This is a fabulous update and it’s free if you have previously purchased this app. If not you can pick it up here, it retails for $5.99/£3.99. There are a few reviews coming in from users reporting sudden crashes with this update, we will discuss this with the developer but expect this to be fixed pdq.
