How To Upgrade To OS X Lion From The Mac App Store
You are probably aware by now that you won’t be able to upgrade until July 2011 but once you see the Lion app in the Mac App Store you will want to download it straight away. We take you through the steps to make sure once it is ready, so are you. Follow our guide here…
Ensure Your Mac Can Run Lion
Perhaps it sounds obvious, but you must have an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 or Xeon processor to run Lion. If you’re not sure which one your Mac is currently running, just click the Apple icon at the top left of your screen and select ‘About This Mac’.

Ensure You Have The Latest Version Of Snow Leopard
You must have the latest version of OX S Snow Leopard onboard in order to purchase OS X Lion from the Mac App Store. If you’re not sure what you’re running, click the Apple icon and select Software Update to install the latest version.
If you are running the latest OS, you will see a message like ours above.
Download OS X Lion From The Mac App Store
When OS X Lion is available, and keep an eye on our site for that news, all you need to do is head over to the Mac App Store from your Dock to purchase and download it. Just follow the onscreen instructions thereafter, to install it. That’s it.
