What Apps Are We Using This Month? with Janis Brandenburg Lee
Welcome to TheAppWhisperer’s new section, “what apps are we using this month” series, where we discover which apps you are particularly enjoying. Kicking us off today is non-other than Award Winning Mobile Photographer, Janis Brandenburg Lee. I live in Carson City, Nevada, USA and I’ve been using Diana and LightWeaver frequently in the last few weeks. Diana offers double exposures and filters that are unique and also an option for random combinations. Both of these portraits feature Diana, while the first one also features LightWeaver, an app that traces your image in a variety of line squiggles. Of course, my workhorse app is iColorama. Since I do a lot of collage work,…

Mobile Photography & Art – Happy Thanksgiving Post…
Happy Thanksgiving! We’re reviving and in some cases refreshing our mobile photography and art thanksgiving post of previous years because it’s as relevant today as it was then. Although we do not officially observe Thanksgiving here in the UK, for me personally, it offers another excuse to send love and gratitude to our beautiful community. Without your art, your thoughts and your daily leaps of courageous self-expression, TheAppWhisperer would not exist. In this article mobile artists have expressed their thoughts in words and images representing what mobile photography and art means to them and considered what they’re thankful for in relation to it. Some have mentioned our wonderful community, some…

Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr/Instagram Group Showcase – 10 October 2021
Last year, I started to write a memoir, a book about my own unusual path in life. From the contradiction of my birth, simultaneously overlapping my near death, to living with childhood rejection, to being thrown out of pubs and clubs as a teenager for perceived drunkenness, only to discover I startlingly had a liver full of tumours, to surviving life threatening open surgery, to learning to walk again, to using the lavatory independently and then to rebuilding a cottage with blood, sweat and a lot of tears. To all of that and to go on and unexpectedly meet the man of my dreams, to becoming a wife and later…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr and Instagram Showcase – 7 February 2021
We are all aware life has changed and we can no longer travel or even linger when exercising however, we always have our imagination and of course Google to help us out. Random Street View allows you to teleport to over ten million miles on earth via working in tandem with Google Street View. You can select a country and randomly view where you have navigated to or just let it select a country for you too to explore. So far this morning, I’ve enjoyed sharing the beach on Hong Kong with a couple of brave sports and then I thought I’d visit the US and found myself at 2469-2481…
