Mobile Photography & Art – Happy Thanksgiving Post…
Happy Thanksgiving! We’re reviving and in some cases refreshing our mobile photography and art thanksgiving post of previous years because it’s as relevant today as it was then. Although we do not officially observe Thanksgiving here in the UK, for me personally, it offers another excuse to send love and gratitude to our beautiful community. Without your art, your thoughts and your daily leaps of courageous self-expression, TheAppWhisperer would not exist. In this article mobile artists have expressed their thoughts in words and images representing what mobile photography and art means to them and considered what they’re thankful for in relation to it. Some have mentioned our wonderful community, some…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr and Instagram Showcase – 18 October 2020
We try to make magic here at TheAppWhisperer.com as often as possible and I am very excited to announce that this week has been no exception… having bonded with Steve and Janet Wozniak (Woz) – Apple co-founder and his wife, four years ago, over our love, care and admiration for Carolyn Hall Young and her works, if you missed that please go here. I felt I should write to Woz once more and this time to share The Quilt Project – arguably considered to be one of the 21st century’s most important poetic pieces and a defining staple of mobile art. Now that we have published the official book for…

Mobile Photography and Art – Rest in Paradise – Leor Levine
It is with deep sadness that I share with you that we have lost another talented artist among us, Leor Levine was a friend and member of many of our online FB groups and was known on Instagram as mastaprint8. There’s a reason for that, Levine was a masterprinter by vocation. As his dear friend Masha Mitkov expressed ‘[he] shied away from shameless self promotion in favor of technical mastery and artistic perfection. With him dies an encyclopedia of knowledge many of his students have tried to osmote. You could ask him any question about the darkroom, give him any film (shot at any speed), any developer (at any dilution),…

Mobile Photography & Art – ‘Hope in Adversity Interview’ with Fleur Schim from from Leucadia, California, United States
I am currently shielding for twelve weeks and in my home, we have all had to make adaptions to adjust to this pandemic, although, at least, currently, we are all well. I’ve been recalling many of the good words our dear friend and talented artist Carolyn Hall Young shared with us, not least ‘in any given situation we can always choose, hope over fear‘ – let’s all choose hope. I am aware there are many others also in a similar situation at the moment and I felt it would be a good idea to create an interview, reflecting these times with stunning imagery. This is a new series of interview with mobile…
