I am so excited to publish the results of the Black and White Street Photography MIRA Mobile Prize competition 2017. Manuela Matos Monteiro, the host invited mobile photographers throughout the world to capture the true character and essence of a street environment including people, traffic, gardens and public places. This year the Jury comprised of Alfredo Cunha, Armineh Hovanesian, Brendan O Se, Edward Santos, Nadine Benichou and Tracy J Thomas and you will see from the quality of images selected, the high calibre of this years jury. The deadline for the prestigious Mobile MIRA Prize competition has been extended to 10 March 2016. I am delighted to congratulate all the participants in this years MIRA Mobile Prize. I was fortunate to be a member of this Jury and I have been so impressed with all the entries. It is so wonderful to see the images from the opening event of the MIRA Mobile Prize 2015, of which I was very proudly a Jury member.
