    I just mentioned how delighted I am to be working closer with The Royal Photographic Society (The RPS) and reported on their very generous bursaries (see here).  I also wanted to draw your attention to a series of Visual Literacy Lectures that The RPS are hosting within the UK during the year. This year’s educational focus is on Women in Photography and featured photographers range from early pioneers such as Julia Margaret Cameron and renowned street photographers including Vivian Maier to contemporary photographers such as Gina Glover and Eva Stenham.     I am truly delighted to be working closer with The Royal Photographic Society (The RPS). Founded in 1853, for more than a century The RPS has existed to promote photography and image-making and to support photographers in realising their potential, irrespective of their level of knowledge, equipment or skills.  The Society also acts as a public advocate for photography and photographers. The RPS produces a range of publications. The Journal (I have written in the past for this title) is the world’s oldest photography magazine and all members receive a free monthly copy of the latest issue.
