Booyah, creators of the incredibly successful location-based app MyTown and popular music discovery app Facebook game Nightclub City, is preparing Nightclub City DJ Rivals, a brand new game to be released soon for the iPhone and iPod touch.  The first rhythm-based, role-playing game for mobile devices, Nightclub City DJ Rivals blends real-world geo-location check-ins and epic beat battles as players tap, fade and scratch music tracks to defeat all challengers while earning in-game cash to unlock new items and abilities for their DJ avatars.

In Nightclub City DJ Rivals, players take on the role of an up-and-coming indie DJ battling against the faceless elements of Big Hits Records and BlandCorp, who are trying to take over the city and make music boring and safe. Players battle to raise their profiles, becoming bigger and bigger names within town, eventually taking on the drones of Big Hits in a series of challenging “boss” battles.

Nightclub City DJ Rivals also includes an expansive multiplayer mode which uses location-based GPS functionality to allow players to check-in to real world locations to battle other players in “King of the Hill” style matches.  By checking in to local hotspots such as restaurants, clothing stores, theaters and nightclubs, players can become the house DJ and collect rent from other Nightclub City DJ Rival players who have also checked in.
