For men who aren’t sure how to do self-exams, the app also provides instruction for properly performing an examination. Testicular Cancer Checker is free of charge.

When reading about the new app, there are two points to keep in mind. One is that, while testicular cancer represents only one per cent of all cancers in men, it is also the single biggest cause of cancer-related deaths in men aged 15-35 years. The second point is that cancers found early are the easiest to treat. Thinking about those statements, it’s easy to understand the importance of an app like Testicular Cancer Checker.

It allows users to configure the most convenient (and private) times to receive reminder alerts to check for testicular cancer. The recommended schedule for early detection is a regular monthly exam. There is also instructional guidance provided, on how to perform a proper self-examination.
