According to an article in The New York Times today, if you had $5700 in 1997 and bought a brand new G3 Apple Powerbook today, if it was ‘in good nick’ you might squeeze $50 from eBay for it. However, if you had spent that same money on Apple stock you would now be sitting on over $330,000 worth of shares. I know which I’d prefer.
