History

Fishlabs has engaged the huge Galaxy on Fire 2 fan base, which awarded the game an impressive 4.8 star rating on the App Store, gauging what kind of improvements and additions players would most like to see in Keith T. Maxwell’s ongoing galactic adventure. Those requests and desires have grown wings, and become Valkyrie.

Alongside a host of new spaceships, weapons, and equipment, an exciting new storyline featuring an extensive English voiceover further expands the space-faring exploits, taking players to new and dangerous areas of the galaxy. Keith T. Maxwell, the headstrong hero of the Galaxy on Fire saga, must face a mysterious and cunning new enemy. For a long time, he has no clue who is really pulling the strings in the treacherous Valkyrie conspiracy that threatens not only him, but his friends and colleagues.

Action

The action in Valkyrie picks up immediately after players have fended off the threat of the Void in Galaxy on Fire 2TM. There are new meetings with the alien Vossk and we discover more about the secretive Deep Science faction, which consists of both Terrans and Greys.
New weapon and drive technologies play a key role and players will enjoy extensive game improvements and expansions, such as a black market trading system, where illicit weapons, equipment and rare goods can be acquired. Players can also buy their own space station, where multiple spaceships can be placed in dry dock and valuable (often illegal) goods can be stowed. This new featurecan be earned by completing missions within the free update, or unlocked immediately via an in-app purchase of just US $0.99/ &#83640.79/£0.59.

Feedback

‘We’ve received an incredible amount of praise and constructive criticism from players all over the world,’ says Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment. ‘The Vossk warrior tribe is particularly popular, and fans will be pleased to learn that there are now more of their ships to fly. But we’re also particularly proud of the design of the new Deep Science ships that, together with the new solar systems and unique graphical special effects, give the game a whole new look. Meeting the frequent request of our long-time fans, we’ve even re-released three classic spaceships from the first game as a free extra.’
