Despite being leaked last week, Samsung has today officially announced the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. This new tab builds on the original 7" tablet and weighs in at 345g with a thickness of 9.96mm. The screen resolution is the same (WSVGA 1024×600).
The great new improvement though is that this tablet is running Android 3.2 Honeycomb and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 21Mbbps HPSA+ support.
Other things to get excited about are TouchWiz support, 3MP autofocus main camera and 2MP front-facing camera, full HD video playback with 720p HD video recording,, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, 16 or 3 GB of internal memory and microSD card slot support up to 64GB.
The Plus will begin its sales career in Indonesia and Austria from mid-October before being rolled out elsewhere.
