If you missed Wikipedia yesterday when the site was shut down in protest against the proposed SOPA and PIPA anti-piracy legislation in the US, then you might just be able to indulge yourself today the launch of the Wikipedia Android app. This is the official Wikipedia App for Android.
Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia containing more than 20 million articles in 280 languages, and is the most comprehensive and widely used reference work humans have ever compiled.

Joanne Carter is a British photographer, photography journalist, editor and curator and the founder and editorial director of TheAppWhisperer.com, an independent international photography publication established in 2009.Her journalism, criticism and commentary have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, BBC, Vogue Italia, LensCulture, Popular Photography, Android Magazine, NikonPro, DPReview, Which Digital Camera and Which Camera.
