Punflay’s Apps rank Top 100 after Apple NY Education Keynote
Emantra’s educational and consumer application development arm, Punflay has seen an increase in popularity of some of its award-winning educational apps. Out of the 20,000 educational apps available on iTunes, seven were briefly showcased during the Apple Educational Keynote Presentation in New York, while outlining the potential of educational apps on iTunes. Two of Punflay’s educational apps Frog Dissection & Cell Structure were mentioned by Apple Vice President, Phil Schiller.
Frog Dissection
A multiple award winner, Frog Dissection is an ethical and educative alternative to real animal dissection. Available for desktops, laptops, Macs, iPads, netbooks and interactive whiteboards, and recognized by animal rights advocacy groups, the Frog Dissection App enables students to learn animal anatomy without needless animal culling.
Cell & Cell Structure:
Released in August 2011, Cell & Cell Structure helps middle school students understand cell functioning and structure, and is supported by interactive activities to test recollection and emphasize cell parts and functions. Specifically designed for middle-school students, this app complements life-science curriculum. Cell & Cell Structure is now a finalist in the Best Ever App Awards for the Best Middle School Student App category.

Joanne Carter is a British photography journalist, editor, curator, and the founder of *TheAppWhisperer.com*, one of the world’s leading platforms dedicated to mobile photography and art.
