Pre-Orders For New iPad – ‘Off The Charts’
MacRumors are reporting that Apple told USA Today that demand for the new iPad has been ‘off the charts’ with the initial batch now sold out.
"Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased," Apple said in a statement. "Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date."
We reported last week how all the stores around the world that were accepting pre-orders had pushed their delivery dates back. Fortunately, we ordered ours on March 8 and have had shipping confirmation for March 16.
Apple stores will have the new iPad available for sale on March 16 but in limited numbers and with very long queues. You can still pre-order and we highly recommend that you do so, at least you’re guaranteed a new iPad within a specific time. Just click here to do so.
