Phototwine – Updated
Phototwine is a social sharing photo app, with a difference. It allows you to view images from one event and not just your own. If you and several friends are attending a wedding reception for example and are all using this free app, you can then share all the images together, live as they are taken.
It’s a very popular concept and has been doing well since this app came out in July this year. It’s just been updated with support for iOS 6 Facebook and Twitter integration.
This is a free update to a free app, you can download it here if you’d like to give it a try. We need to point out that there are in-app purchases available for this app. In order to create an event and capture it, you receive the first hour free, if the event is around 8 hours you will need an in-app purchase of $0.99/£0.69 or if you feel that’s not long enough you can go for a 24 length at $1.99/£1.49. Joanne Carter is a British photographer, photography journalist, editor and curator and the founder and editorial director of TheAppWhisperer.com, an independent international photography publication established in 2009.Her journalism, criticism and commentary have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, BBC, Vogue Italia, LensCulture, Popular Photography, Android Magazine, NikonPro, DPReview, Which Digital Camera and Which Camera.
