iPhone Art Book Now Available – ‘A Small Amount of Courage’ by Karen Divine
We’ve known about this upcoming book for sometime and it’s with great pleasure that we can announce the book is now available. It consists of ’64 images loosely based on the 64 Hexagrams of the iChing. Each image is created first, the understanding and insights followed’.
Karen Divine explains, ‘As an artist, tapping into your own creative spirit is, first and foremost, a matter of developing awareness. This inner awareness allows you to quiet the senses and allows the unconscious to reveal rich imagery. As Rainer Maria Rilke expressed so beautifully in Letters to a Young Poet, “describe your sorrows and desires, the thoughts that pass through your mind and your belief in some kind of beauty – describe these with heartfelt, silent, humble sincerity and, when you express yourself, use the things around you, the images from your dreams, and the objects that you remember.” It requires a small amount of courage to reveal such intimacy’.
Karen is selling the book on her website for $35.00 and $6.50 p&p – I’ll update these figures when I know how much it costs to ship to the UK, Karen is working on that right now.

Joanne Carter is a British photographer, photography journalist, editor and curator and the founder and editorial director of TheAppWhisperer.com, an independent international photography publication established in 2009.Her journalism, criticism and commentary have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, BBC, Vogue Italia, LensCulture, Popular Photography, Android Magazine, NikonPro, DPReview, Which Digital Camera and Which Camera. Didn’t see either the web site URL mentioned or a separate web site for the book or another site with book images – having spent the last 6 months marketing a photography book for a photographer client, I cannot under estimate the importance of re posting web site information – it’s critical for book sales and publicity.
