Mobile Movies @TheAppWhisperer – We’re Looking For You!

As our regular readers will know we have a very active Mobile Movies Flickr group. This is where we are you to place your fabulous creations for us to curate and publish within our Mobile Movies Column every two weeks. Donna Donato has been the editor of this section for two years and has loved it, unfortunately she feels now, due to other commitments that she must step down.  We would all like to thank Donna for the fabulous efforts she has put into this column, we will miss her.

To that end, we are looking for a new editor to take over this section. We want to continue to elevate the mobile movies column and also to include more newsworthy citizen journalism style filming. Mobile filming is a huge and developing area, not only is it being utilised by most newsrooms around the world, it is also being used by huge advertising agents to promote astonishing products, such as Bentley mobile movie that I have republished below. Of course, you may also recall our reporting on the incredible Sundance Film Festival movie – Tangerine that had been shot entirely on an iPhone 5s. The producers did not reveal that it was a mobile film until the competition closed for fear it would not be taken seriously. The Jury had no idea! To read more about that, please go here.  We also reported just last week that the co-founder of Pixar expressed that iPhones and GoPros are to change filmmaking, read more about that here.

If you would like to take on this role and it’s one that we can discuss in greater detail please let me know. This is a voluntary position but it’s one that we feel being directly involved with the most popular mobile photography and art website in the world, will further elevate your career. You will be welcomed warmly into TheAppWhisperer family, it’s very happy place to be.

Please let me know if you’re interested! My email address is – Joanne@theappwhisperer.com
