Mobile Photography – Instagram TAKEOVER with @cawestruck – Carol Wiebe – Day 3 – the story so far…

We are so excited with our latest Instagram TAKEOVER this time with @cawestruck – Carol Wiebe. She is a highly respected and talented artist and has been granted full access to our Instagram account and she has done such a magnificent job. We are very proud of her! Please take a look at her Instagram feed to see what an incredible artist she is.

On Day 3 @cawestruck highlighted the work of talented mobile photographer and artist @jules4921 – Rita Colantonio and she writes @theappwhisperer IG takeover by @cawestruck—It is my pleasure to highlight “The Dance” by Rita Colantonio, aka @jules4921. Rita experiments with many digital techniques, but her work always has a certain elegance to it—deft touches that elevate the beauty and further illustrate the story behind it. “The Dance” features the skirt of the dancer, and the folds contain sweet surprises, like flowers and faces from famous paintings. You want to clasp the hands that hold the skirt, and lead them right onto the dance floor”.

Also, on Day 3 @cawestruck also highlighted the work of accomplished mobile artist @KDivineBoulder and she writesIt is my pleasure to highlight “Sorceror’s Apprentice” by Karen Divine, aka @KDivineBoulder. Karen’s images are mind blowing, literally. In describing the meaning of this image, Karen cautions that. . . . . “like the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, you must remain alert.  Trying your hand at magic could unleash havoc if you fall asleep.  If you’ve missed the circus this time around, wait – a new one will certainly come along, giving you another opportunity to wake up.” Thank you, Karen, for providing us with alarm clocks. Just studying one of your images urges me to wake up”.

Also on Day 3 @cawestruck highlight the inspired work of @bonobostonecreations – Bonobo Stone and she writes “It is my pleasure to highlight “Will Power” by @bonobostonecreations. Bonobo Stone has a knack for combining portraits with other images, but my favourites are his portraits within portraits. Pick any of his works, however, and you will be rewarded by finding intriguing collaged details among the masterfully applied marks, drips and smudges”.

Later on Day 3 @cawestruck highlighted the work of none other but our fabulous Portrait of an Artist editor @ilemusi – Ile Mont and she writes “It is my pleasure to highlight “Dreaming the Journey” by @ilemusi. There is a sense of movement and mystery in this image, plus the suggestion of a human figure. The title teases your mind but your eyes search in vain if they are wanting a definitive object to rest upon. Somehow, you cannot look away, which makes the “journey” you may be witnessing most definitely dreamlike.”.

Thank you so much dear Carol, it is our privilege to see #theappwhisperer through your eyes, it’s so good.

Like all of these artists, please continue to tag your images on Instagram with #theappwhisperer in the hope to being selected and featured!
