Check out the many Theme parks
Theme parks are popular for people of all ages and Queensland is the number one place in Australia to visit them. Most of the major parks are located in the Brisbane-Gold Coast area with top favorites including Dreamworld, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild, Warner Bros. Movie World, and Aussie World. There are also many more to choose from, so a fun time for the family is ensured no matter which ones you choose to visit.
Visit surfers paradise
One of the most popular locations in Australia, Surfers Paradise is a coastal city on the Gold Coast, with millions of people visiting each year. It has some of the most beautiful waters in Australia and also has plenty of beach-side places to go to. There are lots of restaurants and bars along the beach as well as Cavill Avenue, known as the “Gold Coast Nightlife Precinct”, which is located nearby and is considered one of Australia’s nightlife capitals. Events like ‘Schoolies Week’ occur on the Gold Coast where recently graduated high school students congregate to party on the beach in late November and early December.
Attend some horse racing events
Some of the biggest Australian horse racing events occur in Queensland, the Winx Guineas one of the major ones. It is a 1600-meter turf race that was first run in 2000. So if you want to get some insight for potential winners of the race then check out the Sunshine Coast racing odds and head on down to Corbould Park Racecourse in Caloundra. The Grand Prix Stakes race at Eagle Farm Racecourse is also another major event and was inaugurated in 1971 with Mode being the first winner. Gypsy Goddess was the most recent racehorse to win in 2021. Visit the Daintree rainforest
One of the world’s natural wonders, the Daintree Rainforest which is located in northern Queensland is one of the oldest rainforests in the entire world. It is estimated to be about 135 million years old and is home to not only many different types of flora and fauna but also has different types of geography, ranging from the lush rainforest itself to reefs and beaches on the coast. A great place to visit if you want to be among nature and appreciate it in all its glory. There are places all over the area to either go camping or walk through the forest on man-made raised trails which helps protect the trees and delicate creatures that dwell on the forest floor.
