Mobile Photography and Art – A Picture’s Worth with Rino Rossi from Italy
‘A Picture’s Worth‘… is where we ask mobile photographers that have created powerful mobile photography/art to explain the processes they took. This includes their initial thoughts as to what they wanted to create, why they wanted to create it, how they created it, including all apps used and what they wanted to convey. We also ask these incredible artists to explain their emotions and how the image projects those feelings. In this ‘A Picture’s Worth’ today we asked Rino Rossi to tell us more about his image featured here entitled “Shape of Things”. Rossi has detailed his thoughts below, we think you’ll find this invaluable…
“First of all I would like to thank Joanne for having called me to answer this question.
“Shape of Things” is the type of image that I occasionally enjoy. A hybrid between photography and painting is not end to itself: in this case, the idea is to align the shape and the resilience of a marine landscape to transmit the right balance between moving beauty and chromatic statically.
I initially worked with a picture taken with my iPhone 7 Plus (1) via DECIM 8 and in this case use the FOLD4RAP5 and FINGERLIB filters : the landscape is surreally reassembled (2).
Then I use ENLIGHT PENNS to lightly disperse photographic essence (3).
The last decisive step is the SUNGLOW texture of the STACKABLES app : so the image is soaked with pictorial essences(4).
