BBC iPlayer App Updated With Downloadable Feature
The BBC iPlayer app has just been updated and now allows for video downloads. Subscribers to the iPlayer service can now download video content to their smartphones and tablets at no further cost. This function is effective immediately for iOS devices and will be coming very soon to Android devices too. Intiially all downloads will be available over Wi-Fi networks and 3G in the future.
Once you have downloaded a program you have 30 days to watch it before it expires. If you start to watch it, you have 7 days before it expires.
