Analog Camera – First Look!
There’s a new app out there today, Analog Camera, that’s designed by its developers to keep things simple…from capturing images, processing them, and then sharing them…all very quickly and with little fuss.

Curious about what makes this app standout from like apps, I downloaded it today and gave it a test run. I will have to say that I was impressed that it does just what the developers said it would. I found that the interface easy to use…setting up my shots came easily and the Auto Crop to square function allowed me to quickly compose my image.
The exposure and focus modes worked perfectly even in a shot that had extremes of light and dark.
Moving around eight different filter choices was also a breeze! There’s nothing “fancy” about these filters…just eight different filters that really do bring out the best in an image. As the developers put it, “…crafted to improve your photos, not cover them with scratches and tacky borders.”
Analog Camera also makes it easy to move back and forth from processing to your camera mode, allowing you to quickly capture more images. Its interface also allows easy access to your Camera Roll and Photo Stream should you want to process and share more images later on.
Once I had processed a few of my images, I tried out the various share options available. These range to saving versions to my Camera Roll, emailing, sharing to other apps, and of course, Facebook and Twitter. (One place I wasn’t able to share to was Instagram even though the developer states that this is an option. This might just be my problem as my Instagram feed isn’t always reliable.)
All in all, I like what I’ve seen so far. I plan to put together a more complete “First Look” in the near future. Give Analog Camera a try…and let me know what you think!
