2011-01-28/Comments Off on Microsoft Office: Mac En Route To Mac App Store
That’s the rumor but can you really see Microsoft handing over 30% commission on every app downloaded to Apple? Well, AllThingsD are running this story this morning, Amanda Lefebvre from Microsoft spoke with Mobilized and said ‘it’s something we are looking at’. However, Microsoft did point out that the product is available in many places as well as the 30 day free trial version available from the Web.
"It’s something we haven’t ruled out, we just have to see how that relates to our business’ went on Lefebvre.
There’s also the matter of the iPhone version of Office:Mac and Microsoft released an iPhone version of its OneNote note-taking program as a free download in the iOS App Store last week.
Looks to us that Microsoft are toying with quite a few ideas at the moment, it will be interesting to see if they join the Android band too.
Watch this space for more info coming soon…
