As the Scouts say ‘be prepared’ and today with the launch of the new iOS 7 upgrade for your iOS devices (if compatible), this is more important than ever. Whether your device is compatible or not is a key point actually, iOS 7 won’t run on the iPhone 3GS or earlier or the iPad 1 and some of the features will only work with the iPhone 5.
If you take a look at Everymac.com you’ll see a listing of the precise iOS 7 features supported by each device from the iPad 2 to 5th gen iPod Touch.
Perhaps the most important thing to do and remember is to BACK UP your device. It doesn’t matter how you do this, whether to iCloud or you computer, just make sure all those precious images and videos are safe.
There’s a very basic video below to show you how to do this, if you don’t already know.
Many apps are coming through now that have been updated to iOS 7 but some may not work, so be aware there maybe a few bugs until all the updates are approved.
