Samsung Electronics Integrates Digital Imaging Division With Mobile Communications Division

Well, it’s no surprise to us to read in the ETNews report, that we monitor, that Samsung have merged their camera and smartphone communication divisions into one.

Smartphones and cameras are merging at an incredible rate of knots and the Samsung Galaxy hybrid is a key example of this trend. Samsung Electronics explained, “We will transplant the brand, sales networks, software competency and manufacturing competitiveness of the Wireless Business Division into the Camera Business Division, and integrate the technical know-how of the two business divisions into competency for differentiating our smartphones.”

This is a big shakeup and perhaps wake up call to the industry by concentrating on one division Samsung can step up the impetuous and marketing of the overall camera market.
