Top 10 iPhoneography Apps Of June 2011
June has been another great month for iPhoneography apps and what’s interesting this time around is there are several clear trends to be seen. One is that the majority of the most popular and highly rated apps in June are photographic effect style apps. Not so much technique apps but filtering effects, mosaic effects and photomontages.
Another interesting trend to see is that many of the apps are free, certainly it is clear to see in the App Store that free apps appear to generate more downloads, now that’s not necessarily surprising in itself, but what is surprising is that users are then leaving positive comments.
Possibly it would appear, at least from the month of June as an example, that if you have a very good new photographic app that it may be worth releasing it as free for a short time first on the App Store before and only possibly increasing the price thereafter. We can’t wait to see what July brings.
The main message of course to developers is ‘keep ’em coming’. Check these great apps out below.
