Apple Confirms They Will Replace 1st Gen iPod Nanos in Japan
Well, how about that! Forget new cases, in Japan Apple are replacing first generation iPod Nanos due to complaints of overheating and burns experienced by users.
Japan’s Government Pressuriesed Apple
Once the government of Japan stepped into this issue, Apple couldn’t do more. Apple blame the company that produced the batteries for the iPod Nanos sold between September 2005 – September 2006 – they are willing to replace all Nanos bought between this period for free.
To be honest, we are not sure what they are replacing them with, surely it can’t be the same model again, so presumably it must be the latest iPod Nano – we will find out soon enough.
